Flyer for a march hosted by Take Back the Night at Tulane University from 4 pm to 8 pm on Friday, April 8, 1983. This orange legal-sized flyer is highly decorated and contains information about the march, including notes handwritten by Gehman, stating the year (which was omitted in the original printing of the object) and that the march was canceled. The flyer notes that this "Community Speak-Out" would feature spokeswomen from various minority groups, including Native American, battered, Black, Church, union, raped, teaching and working, medical, non-violent and armed, and elderly and disabled women. It is also stated that at the time, New Orleans was the foremost city responsible for rape and violent sex crimes against children. The item was folded twice and is in good condition.
