On display in this lobby is a selection of posters from the printed ephemera collections of The Latin American Library’s special collections. The posters along these walls and in the corridor at far left date from the late 20th century and represent a variety of purposes and perspectives, including political, cultural, environmental, and touristic. The bold colors, strength of design, and short but potent messages aptly demonstrate the power and effectiveness of the poster format for widespread messaging to the masses.
