A COLLABORATIVE BOOK EXHIBIT

 

Action and Reaction. Before and After. Then and Now.

Rich material for artists who work with sequence and pagination. The Southeast Chapter of the Guild of Bookworkers invited Guild members around the country to take inspiration from simply the words

“cause : effect”

to create one signature—one small part of a book, only two folios—and make a set of those individual parts for each participant.  The folios were then collated and distributed to the bookbinders.

 

Every artist then took their collection of signatures and bound the parts into a book.  Here are the bindings.
