Leaving Afghanistan: Professional/Educated Afghan Women in Diaspora after Taliban 2.0
This exhibit includes basic information about the emergence of Taliban 2.0 and the fleeing of professional and educated Afghan women whose lives and safety were at risk with the rise of the new de facto regime in 2021. We center Afghan women’s voices through a collection of their own photographs and captions from a larger interview-based project with professional/educated Afghan women in diaspora. August 2026 marks the 5th anniversary of the fall of Kabul, the capital city of Afghanistan.
