Cook Dat! A Celebration of New Orleans Cuisine

New Orleans can rightly be designated the Food capital of the South and the only city with its own indigenous cuisine. Among American cities, New Orleans is almost unique in its passion for tradition and its success in preserving its deeply rooted dining culture. Using resources from Tulane University Library and Newcomb College Archives this exhibit will focus on the amazing history of New Orleans food and her restaurants from its founding by Jean-Baptiste Le Sieur de Bienville in the Spring of 1718 through our 21st century food renaissance.
