Declaration of the People’s Natural Right To a Share In the Legislature

Private: Italian Literary Patriotism: From the Enlightenment to the Risorgimento

Composed of four sections, this book describes legal injustices towards the British and Irish people. It is noteworthy that it was published in Dublin in the year of the American Revolution. Written in largely in English, it contains a few phrases of Latin here and there, and the author uses numerous footnotes in a format similar to today’s, though the book lacks a table of contents. The four sections are a preface, the declaration of the people’s natural right to a share in the legislature – part I, an extract of a letter, and the declaration of the people’s natural right to a share in the legislature – part II.
